Recessed Manhole Covers started out in a practical way. We needed recessed manhole covers for our own landscaping projects, and like most contractors, we wanted reliable stock, consistent sizing and quick access to the right specification.
What began as buying in covers for our own use quickly grew. Other contractors started asking to purchase from us, and demand built from there. Over time, we moved away from landscaping entirely and focused fully on supplying recessed manhole covers and access solutions.
Today, we stock what we consider to be one of the largest and most diverse ranges of recessed manhole covers in the UK, covering everything from standard domestic applications through to specialist and bespoke requirements.

Recessed Manhole Covers is part of Jayso Construction Products Ltd, a group focused on manufacturing and distributing construction and groundwork products.
We operate as a small, experienced team within that structure. That means customers get the backing of a larger supply network, while still dealing with people who understand the detail of each product and how it performs on site.
Our approach is straightforward. We focus on product knowledge, clear specification and fast delivery, because delays and incorrect covers cause real problems once work has started.
What We Do
Our range covers all main types of manhole covers, including recessed covers for block paving, flagging and internal floors, as well as solid top covers and specialist solutions. This includes sealed and locking covers for internal use, and application specific products such as GrassTop and load bearing systems.
Alongside stocked products, we manufacture and supply our own RMC branded galvanised steel covers. These were introduced to close gaps in the market where consistent quality and sizing were lacking, particularly for recessed, block paving and solid top applications.
We also handle bespoke requirements. Not every project suits a standard clear opening or off the shelf frame. We regularly produce made to measure covers, multipart systems, lift assisted covers and alternative material specifications. Whether it is a simple lid replacement or a complex access solution, we guide the process from specification through to supply.
