600mm Diameter Ductile Iron Manhole Cover and Frame B125

This 600mm diameter ductile iron manhole cover and frame is a solid top B125 rated access cover designed for round chamber openings in domestic and light commercial environments. It is regularly used on private driveways, pedestrian areas, paved access routes and service locations where a durable visible lid is preferred.

The circular cover sits within a square 680 x 680mm frame, making it a practical solution for many existing round access chambers while allowing installation into square formed surrounds. The solid top visible lid provides straightforward future access without disturbing paving or surrounding finishes.

Manufactured from spheroidal graphite ductile iron, the CD 759 KMB offers strong load performance with improved toughness and crack resistance compared with older cast iron designs. When installed on a full mortar or concrete bed, it is well suited to repeated car traffic and routine pedestrian use.

A skeletal frame design helps reduce unnecessary weight while maintaining structural support where needed. This can assist handling during installation while still delivering the rigidity expected from a trafficked cover.

Integral lifting key holes are included for controlled removal using compatible lifting keys. A locking version is also available where added security or restricted access is required.

B125 loading is intended for BS EN 124 Group 2 applications such as driveways, pedestrian zones and private areas with occasional vehicle traffic. It should not be used in highways, delivery yards or regularly trafficked heavy vehicle areas where D400 or above would normally be required.

When replacing an existing cover, always measure the clear opening of the chamber first, then confirm external frame size and depth.
