Double Sealed Aluminium Recessed Manhole Cover 60mm Multiple Sizes

The DS-Line 60mm range is a double sealed aluminium recessed manhole cover system designed for installations where appearance, clean edges and improved sealing matter. Each cover uses an extruded aluminium frame and tray with a galvanised steel bottom plate and reinforcement mesh, allowing block paving, screed or similar finishes to be installed within the recess.

This range is typically used in external paved areas and other finished surfaces where a flush, less visible access point is required. The double sealed design uses one base seal and one T-rubber side seal. This helps reduce odours, limit water ingress and prevent dirt collecting between the cover and frame, which also supports easier removal over time.

The key specification point in this range is load class by size. Smaller DS-60 covers are rated to B125, while larger sizes move to A15 only. That means these covers should not be grouped under one generic loading claim. Selection must be based on both clear opening and the actual duty of the area.

This cover is not screw locked. Where a locked internal cover is required, a triple sealed locking cover is the better specification.

The frame and cover are manufactured from extruded aluminium for a cleaner architectural finish and reduced corrosion risk in normal external environments. The tray includes a galvanised steel bottom plate and reinforcement mesh to support the infill material. Sealing is provided by an EPDM type base seal combined with a side T-rubber seal.
