1500 x 750mm Security Steel Manhole Cover FACTA AAA

This 1500 x 750mm security manhole cover and frame is a galvanised steel twin lid solid top access cover designed for larger chamber openings where controlled access is the priority. It is commonly specified for defence estates, prisons, secure compounds, plant areas and restricted service chambers.

The twin lid format improves day to day usability by dividing a large opening into two manageable access sections. This helps reduce single lift handling weight compared with one oversized cover and makes routine inspections more practical.

Each lid is flush fitting with a durbar anti-slip tread surface for pedestrian safety. The visible solid top finish suits compounds, paved secure areas and service zones where a durable steel cover is required rather than a recessed paving tray.

A padlock box with hardened hasp staple is built into the unit to help prevent unauthorised access. This added security is useful where underground utilities, valves, cables or sensitive services need protection.

Manufactured from galvanised steel, the CD 1446-SEC offers good corrosion resistance for exposed outdoor environments. The larger 1500 x 750mm clear opening suits service ducts, elongated utility chambers and access points where smaller covers restrict entry.

FACTA AAA loading is intended for lightly trafficked locations and occasional light vehicle use, subject to site conditions. It is not suitable for highways, HGV traffic routes or heavy industrial wheel loads.
