Description

The 220–300mm square to round sealed and locking recessed manhole cover is designed for installations where a standard recessed tray does not provide sufficient control over odours or moisture. It combines a galvanised steel recessed tray with a polypropylene frame and a cut-to-size adaptor, allowing it to suit chamber openings between 220mm and 300mm.

This type of cover is typically used in internal environments such as kitchens, utility rooms and basements, where drainage systems can allow odours to pass into occupied spaces. The factory fitted rubber gasket works with the four screw locking system to compress the lid onto the frame, improving the seal and reducing odour escape.

Externally, it is suitable for pedestrian areas such as patios where some protection against surface water and debris is required. It should not be used in trafficked areas due to its 5 tonne load rating.
