300 x 300mm Plain Seated Solid Top Manhole Cover

This 300 x 300 plain seated solid top manhole cover is designed for chambers and inspection points where straightforward access, visible location and reliable load performance are the main priorities. Unlike a recessed cover, the lid remains exposed after installation and does not require block paving, concrete or tile infill.

Manufactured from galvanised mild steel, the cover provides a durable steel lid and frame assembly with a compact footprint and shallow 40mm overall depth. This can be useful where construction depth is limited or when replacing older shallow frame covers.

The lid is secured with four fixing screws to help keep the cover stable under use and reduce movement in service. Integrated lifting keyholes allow the lid to be removed when access is required for inspection, rodding or maintenance.

This multi-option listing allows the correct load rating to be selected for site conditions. The Pedestrian option is intended for foot traffic only, such as paths, gardens and landscaped areas. The 5 Tonne option is commonly used on domestic driveways and occasional light vehicle areas. The 10 Tonne option is suited to more demanding private access areas, service yards and regular light commercial traffic.

A common mistake is choosing by size alone. The clear opening must match the chamber access, but the load rating must also reflect the real traffic using the cover.
