450mm Diameter Square to Round Grass & Gravel Recessed Manhole Cover 3.5 Tonne

This square to round recessed manhole cover is designed for installations where a circular chamber needs to be concealed within a square paved or landscaped finish. The square outer frame removes the need to cut paving around a circular opening, allowing a cleaner installation.

The recessed tray allows infill to match the surrounding surface. The grass top version is designed for soil and turf, using drainage holes and membrane layers to support water movement and grass growth. The gravel top version incorporates an EcoGrid reinforcement layer, which stabilises loose aggregate and reduces movement under foot or light vehicle loading.

The 80mm tray depth is suited to shallow external build-ups. It allows for turf or aggregate finishes without excessive build height, while maintaining a flush and consistent surface.

The cover uses a galvanised steel tray with a polypropylene frame, providing structural support with corrosion resistance. It is suitable for gardens, pathways and light domestic driveways, but not for frequent or heavy traffic.

Selection should be based on the clear opening of the chamber. This unit is designed to suit standard 450mm diameter systems.
