450mm Square to Round Sealed & Locking Recessed Manhole Cover

The 450mm square to round sealed and locking recessed manhole cover is designed for installations where a standard recessed cover does not provide sufficient sealing performance. It combines a galvanised steel recessed tray with a polypropylene frame, allowing for a durable but lightweight access solution.

This cover is primarily used in internal environments such as kitchens, basements and utility areas, where odour control is required. The factory fitted rubber gasket works with the screw locking system to compress the lid onto the frame, helping reduce the escape of odours from the drainage system.

It is also suitable for external pedestrian areas such as patios, where it can limit debris and surface water entering the chamber. However, it is not suitable for trafficked areas due to its 5 tonne load rating.

A common issue with chamber covers is incorrect sizing or poor sealing in internal floors. This unit is designed specifically for standard 450mm chambers, providing a consistent fit and improved sealing compared to non-locking recessed covers.
