600 x 450mm Ductile Iron Manhole Cover and Frame B125 75mm Deep

This 600 x 450mm ductile iron manhole cover and frame is a solid top B125 rated access cover with a deeper 75mm frame, designed for domestic and light commercial chamber openings. It is commonly used on private driveways, paved paths, service areas and pedestrian zones where a stronger seating depth or deeper replacement frame is preferred.

Unlike shallower covers, the 75mm frame depth gives more bearing area into the surrounding concrete or mortar bed. This can be useful on refurbishments, damaged surrounds or installations where extra rigidity and frame stability are needed over time.

The solid top visible lid remains exposed at finished surface level, making future access straightforward without lifting paving or surrounding finishes. Where appearance is secondary to strength, security and routine chamber access, this style remains a practical long term solution.

Manufactured from spheroidal graphite ductile iron, the CD 779 KMB offers improved toughness and crack resistance compared with older grey cast iron covers. Correctly installed, it is well suited to repeated car traffic and day to day pedestrian loading.

The 600 x 450mm clear opening is one of the most common sizes for inspection chambers and utility access points, making this model a useful option for replacement projects where a deeper frame is required.

Integral lifting key holes are included for controlled removal using compatible lifting keys. A locking version is also available where added security is required.

B125 loading is intended for BS EN 124 Group 2 applications including driveways, pavements and private areas with occasional vehicle traffic. It should not be used in highways or regularly trafficked heavy vehicle areas where D400 or above would normally be required.
