600 x 450mm Grass & Gravel Recessed Manhole Cover 10 Tonne Fully Galvanised

This fully galvanised recessed manhole cover is designed for concealed access within grass, landscaped and gravel surfaces where additional durability is required. The recessed tray allows the selected infill to sit flush with the surrounding surface, maintaining a consistent finish while keeping access to the chamber below.

Two infill options are available. The grass top version is intended for soil and turf, using drainage holes and membrane layers to support water movement and grass growth. The gravel top version incorporates an EcoGrid reinforcement layer, which stabilises loose aggregate and reduces movement under foot or vehicle loading.

The 80mm tray depth is suited to typical external build-ups, allowing for turf or gravel finishes without excessive build height. This helps avoid issues with shallow installations where infill becomes unstable or fails to establish properly.

Unlike mixed material versions, this unit is fully galvanised steel, including both tray and frame. This provides improved durability in exposed environments where long term corrosion resistance is required.

It is suitable for domestic driveways and similar applications with a load rating of 10 tonne when correctly installed. Always select based on the clear opening of the chamber, not the overall frame size.
