600 x 600mm Ductile Iron Manhole Cover and Frame B125

This 600 x 600mm ductile iron manhole cover and frame is a solid top slide-out B125 rated access cover designed for square chamber openings in domestic and light commercial settings. It is widely used on private driveways, paved paths, forecourts, pedestrian areas and service access points where a durable visible lid is preferred.

The solid top lid remains exposed at finished surface level, allowing quick future access without disturbing paving, slabs or surrounding finishes. Where appearance is secondary to strength, security and routine maintenance access, this style remains a dependable long term option.

Manufactured from spheroidal graphite ductile iron, the CD 777 KMB offers stronger impact resistance and improved structural performance compared with older grey cast iron covers. When installed correctly on a full mortar or concrete surround, it is well suited to repeated car traffic and daily pedestrian loading.

The 600 x 600mm clear opening is a common square chamber size that provides generous access for drainage inspection points, utility connections and maintenance work. It is often selected where a 450mm cover is too restrictive but a larger unit is unnecessary.

This model uses a slide-out lid design to reduce awkward manual handling during opening. Integral lifting key holes are included, while the unique corner design helps the cover seat back correctly into the frame after access. Locking versions are also available for added site security.

B125 loading is intended for BS EN 124 Group 2 applications including driveways, pavements and private areas with occasional vehicle traffic. It should not be used in highways, loading yards or regularly trafficked heavy vehicle areas where D400 or above would normally be required.
