600 x 600mm Sealed & Locking Recessed Manhole Cover

The 600 x 600mm sealed and locking recessed manhole cover is designed for installations where improved sealing is required over a standard recessed tray. It combines a galvanised steel recessed tray with a polypropylene frame, providing a balance of strength and corrosion resistance.

This cover is typically used in internal environments such as kitchens, basements and utility areas, where drainage odours need to be contained. The factory fitted rubber gasket works in combination with the screw locking system to compress the lid onto the frame, helping reduce odour escape into occupied spaces.

It can also be used externally in pedestrian areas such as patios, where it helps limit debris and surface water entering the chamber. It is not suitable for trafficked areas due to its 5 tonne load rating.

Incorrect specification often occurs where non-sealed covers are installed internally. This design addresses that by combining a defined clear opening with a sealing system, ensuring consistent fit and performance.
