600 x 600mm Security Galvanised Steel Manhole Cover FACTA AAA

This 600 x 600mm security manhole cover and frame is a galvanised steel solid top access cover designed for locations where controlled access is more important than heavy highway loading. It is commonly specified for defence estates, prisons, secure compounds, service yards and restricted utility chambers.

The flush solid top lid provides a neat surface finish with anti-slip tread pattern for pedestrian use. This makes it suitable for lightly trafficked external areas where a visible secure cover is required without the bulk of a heavy ductile iron highway cover.

A built-in internal security plate with case hardened hasp allows the cover to be padlocked, helping prevent unauthorised chamber entry. This secondary security barrier is useful where underground services, cables or valves must remain protected.

Manufactured from galvanised mild steel, the CD 1424-SEC offers good corrosion resistance for external environments. Integral vertical fixing tabs help secure the frame to the chamber structure, improving stability once installed.

The 600 x 600mm clear opening suits common access chamber sizes, while the 86mm deep frame provides practical bedding depth for replacement or new installations.

FACTA AAA loading is intended for lightly trafficked applications such as pedestrian areas and occasional light vehicle use, subject to site conditions. It is not suitable for carriageways, HGV routes or heavy commercial traffic.

This model includes the MOD Pheon symbol laser cut into the cover for permanent identification.
