675 x 675mm Ductile Iron Manhole Cover and Frame B125

This 675 x 675mm ductile iron manhole cover and frame is a solid top B125 rated access cover designed for external installations where pedestrian use and occasional vehicle loading are expected. It is commonly used on private driveways, parking bays, paved forecourts, service areas and commercial walkways.

The solid top lid remains visible at finished surface level, making it a practical choice where durability and straightforward chamber access are more important than concealed paving finishes. The cast anti-slip tread pattern helps improve grip in wet external conditions.

Manufactured from ductile iron, this cover offers high strength with improved resistance to cracking and impact compared with traditional grey cast iron. It is well suited to repeated domestic and light commercial traffic when installed on a correctly prepared surround.

The 675 x 675mm clear opening suits larger square inspection chambers and utility access points where extra access space is required. Always measure the chamber opening rather than an old lid, as frame sizes can vary between manufacturers.

B125 loading is intended for Group 2 applications under BS EN 124, including pedestrian areas, car parks and locations with occasional vehicle access. It should not be used in carriageways, public roads or regularly trafficked heavy vehicle areas where D400 or higher would normally be required.

For best results, install the frame fully bedded on a suitable mortar or concrete surround, level with the finished surface, with continuous support beneath all frame edges.
