750 x 600mm Ductile Iron Manhole Cover and Frame B125

This 750 x 600mm ductile iron manhole cover and frame is a solid top B125 rated access cover designed for external areas where pedestrian use and occasional vehicle traffic are expected. It is commonly installed on private driveways, parking bays, service yards, paved access routes and light commercial sites.

The solid top lid remains visible once installed, making it a practical option where strength, security and easy maintenance access matter more than a concealed paving finish. The anti-slip tread pattern helps improve grip underfoot in wet external conditions.

Manufactured from ductile iron, this cover offers strong structural performance with improved toughness and crack resistance compared with traditional cast iron. It is well suited to repeated domestic vehicle loading when correctly bedded and supported.

The 750 x 600mm clear opening provides a larger access point for drainage chambers, utility pits and inspection points where more working space is useful. Always measure the chamber opening rather than an existing lid, as frame dimensions can vary between manufacturers.

B125 loading is suitable for Group 2 applications under BS EN 124, including pedestrian zones, private parking areas and locations with occasional car or light van traffic. It is not intended for public highways or regularly trafficked heavy vehicle areas where D400 or above would normally be specified.

Install the frame on a full mortar or concrete bed, level with the finished surface, and support all sides evenly to help prevent movement or rocking over time.
