900 x 600mm Ductile Iron Manhole Cover and Frame B125

This 900 x 600mm ductile iron manhole cover and frame is a solid top B125 rated access cover built for external chamber openings in domestic and light commercial locations. It is regularly specified for private driveways, paved forecourts, pedestrian routes, parking bays and service areas where a robust visible lid is preferred.

The solid top design leaves the cover exposed at finished surface level, making future access simple and avoiding the need to remove surrounding blocks, slabs or resin finishes. Where appearance is less important than strength and routine maintenance access, this style remains a dependable choice.

Manufactured from spheroidal graphite ductile iron, the CD 752 KMB provides stronger impact resistance and improved structural performance compared with older grey cast iron covers. Correctly bedded on a full mortar or concrete surround, it is well suited to repeated car and light van traffic.

The 900 x 600mm clear opening provides generous access for larger inspection chambers, pumping points, drainage runs and utility services. This size is often selected where smaller covers restrict maintenance access or where existing chamber dimensions already require a larger opening.

Integral lifting key holes are cast into the lid for controlled removal using compatible keys. The slide out cover design helps reduce awkward lifting movement during opening, useful where periodic inspection is required.

B125 loading is intended for BS EN 124 Group 2 applications including pedestrian areas and private locations with occasional vehicle use. It should not be used in carriageways, adopted roads or heavy commercial yards where D400 or above would normally be required.
