900 x 600mm Plain Seated Solid Top Manhole Cover

This 900 x 600 plain seated solid top manhole cover is designed for larger chambers and access points where direct access, visible location and dependable load performance are the priority. Unlike a recessed cover, the lid remains exposed after installation and does not require paving, concrete or tile infill.

Manufactured from galvanised mild steel, the cover provides a durable steel lid and frame assembly with a large rectangular clear opening suited to drainage chambers, utility access points and inspection areas where increased working space is needed. The shallow 40mm overall depth can also assist where installation depth is limited or when replacing older shallow frame covers.

The lid is secured with four fixing screws to help minimise movement in service and maintain a stable fit within the frame. Integrated lifting keyholes allow removal when routine inspection, rodding or maintenance access is required.

This multi-option listing allows the correct load rating to be selected for site conditions. The 5 Tonne option is commonly used on domestic driveways and occasional light vehicle areas. The 10 Tonne option is suited to more demanding private access areas, service yards and regular light commercial traffic.

Manufactured from mild steel with a hot dip galvanised finish. Steel provides good structural strength and rigidity, while galvanising helps protect exposed metal surfaces in normal external environments. Aggressive chemical or chlorinated environments should use a more suitable material grade.
