Aluminium Threshold Drainage Channel System A15

The Aluminium Threshold Drainage Channel System is a narrow linear channel drain for managing rainwater and surface runoff around entrances, patios and other paved domestic areas. It uses a PVC channel body with a removable aluminium heel guard grating, giving a neat low-profile finish that sits well against thresholds, bifold doors, pathways and modern paving layouts.

At 65mm wide, this system is useful where space is limited or where a standard wider channel would look too prominent. It is commonly fitted across door openings, at the edge of patios, along garden rooms, beside garages and at the base of lightly sloped paved areas where water tends to collect.

This listing includes three modular options. The 1 metre threshold channel forms the main drainage run. The corner piece allows changes in direction around corners and returns. The T-shaped piece helps create branch connections or more complex layouts.

The system connects to standard underground drainage using 50mm side outlet or 80mm bottom outlet arrangements, depending on the accessory setup used. Gratings can be removed for cleaning and inspection, helping reduce debris build-up over time.

Rated to Load Class A15 to BS EN 1433:2002, it is intended for pedestrian traffic and light domestic footfall only. It is not suitable for regular vehicle traffic, driveways used by cars, vans or commercial loading areas.

For best performance, install on a stable concrete or sand cement bed, set to finished paving level, and provide adequate fall toward the outlet. Poor falls or undersized outlets will limit drainage performance. Maximum stated flow rate is 360 litres per minute.
