Double Sealed Aluminium Recessed Manhole Cover 80mm Multiple Sizes

The DS-Line 80mm range is a double sealed aluminium recessed manhole cover system designed for installations where a deeper tray is needed for the finished surface build-up. Each cover uses an extruded aluminium frame and tray with a galvanised steel bottom plate and reinforcement mesh, allowing block paving and similar finishes to be installed within the recess.

This range is typically used in external paved areas and other finished surfaces where a flush, more discreet access point is required. The double sealed design uses one base seal and one T-rubber side seal. This helps reduce odours, limit water ingress and prevent dirt collecting between the cover and frame, which also helps with long term removal.

The key specification point in this range is load class by size. Smaller and mid-size DS-80 covers reach B125, while the larger sizes reduce to A15 only. That means the correct cover must be selected by both clear opening and duty of the area, not by size alone.

This cover is not screw locked. Where a locked internal cover is required, a triple sealed locking cover is the better specification.

The frame and cover are manufactured from extruded aluminium for a cleaner architectural finish and good corrosion resistance in normal external environments. The tray includes a galvanised steel bottom plate and reinforcement mesh to support the infill material. Sealing is provided by a base seal combined with a side T-rubber seal.
