Description

The CD 553 Pair of Medium Duty Ductile Iron Lifting Keys is designed for lifting compatible cast iron and ductile iron manhole covers fitted with standard keyways. These keys are commonly used for routine inspection, drainage maintenance and service access where stronger keys are preferred over plastic alternatives.

Manufactured from durable ductile iron, they provide good strength and wear resistance for repeated use. The loop handle design gives a secure grip and practical control while lifting covers, helping the user raise lids more safely and evenly.

These keys are suitable for many medium duty covers used in driveways, footpaths, paved areas, service yards and external utility chambers. Manufacturer guidance states suitability for A15 and B125 rated products where compatible keyways are fitted.

Each pair is supplied with a black surface coating to help protect the metal finish during storage and normal site use. Using the correct lifting keys helps reduce damage to keyholes, cover edges and surrounding finishes compared with improvised tools.
