Water & Odour Tight Sealed Recessed Manhole Cover 5 Tonne Multiple Sizes

This water and odour tight recessed manhole cover range is designed for installations where a higher level of sealing performance is required compared to standard sealed covers. Manufactured from galvanised steel, each unit provides a rigid structure suitable for internal drainage applications.

The key difference in this range is the factory fitted polyethylene sealing system, which provides water tightness up to 1 metre head of pressure alongside odour control. This makes the covers suitable for basements, commercial kitchens, plant rooms and areas with a high water table.

All covers in the range are rated to 5 tonne load capacity, making them suitable for pedestrian areas and internal floors. They are not suitable for trafficked areas or driveways.

The recessed tray allows for concrete or screed infill, maintaining a flush finish with the surrounding surface. Each cover is supplied with lifting keys and features multi point locking screws to ensure consistent compression of the seal.

Incorrect specification often occurs where standard sealed covers are used in areas exposed to standing water. This range avoids that issue by providing a defined water resistance rating.
