Sealed & Locking Recessed Manhole Covers

Sealed and locking manhole covers are recessed access covers designed for installations where a standard tray cover does not provide enough control over odours or moisture. These covers incorporate sealing gaskets and mechanical locking systems to secure the lid to the frame and create a tighter seal around the chamber opening.

They are widely used in internal environments such as kitchens, utility rooms, basements and tiled floors where drainage systems may produce odours. In these situations, a sealed inspection chamber cover helps prevent smells rising into the occupied space while still allowing access for maintenance.

Externally, sealed recessed covers are often installed in patios, terraces and landscaped areas where surface water may sit around the cover. The sealing system helps limit water ingress into the chamber and reduces the risk of debris entering the drainage system.
